• To create and maintain your account and provide platform features
• To facilitate connections between sales reps and companies
• To display verified outreach metrics to companies you have authorised
• To send platform notifications (application updates, invitations, messages)
• To process future subscription payments via Stripe
• To improve the platform based on aggregated, anonymised usage patterns
• To respond to support requests and feedback
• To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

4. How We Share Your Information

We share your information only in the following circumstances:

• With companies you authorise: When you accept a company's invitation, your outreach snapshot data is shared with that company on the platform.
• With service providers: Supabase (database and authentication, hosted in the US), Cloudflare (API proxy), and Stripe (payment processing, when applicable). These providers process data only as necessary to provide their services.
• For legal compliance: If required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
• Business transfer: In the event Pipegen is sold or transferred, your data may be part of that transaction. You will be notified in advance.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on Supabase servers. We use Row Level Security (RLS) to ensure users can only access their own data. All connections are encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. While we take reasonable technical measures to protect your information, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Supabase stores data in data centres that may be located outside of Canada, including in the United States. By using Pipegen, you consent to this cross-border transfer of your data.

6. Your Rights (PIPEDA)

Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
• Withdraw consent and request deletion of your account and data
• Challenge our compliance with PIPEDA

To exercise these rights, email privacy@pipegen.io. We will respond within 30 days. You may also delete your account directly within the platform settings.

7. Cookies & Tracking

Pipegen uses browser localStorage and session storage solely for authentication tokens (managed by Supabase Auth). We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking pixels, or analytics services that identify individual users.

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as maintaining records of completed transactions).

9. Children's Privacy

Pipegen is intended for use by individuals who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a minor has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email or via an in-app notification. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Pipegen.io ("Pipegen", "the platform", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the platform. These Terms apply to all visitors, sales reps, and company users of Pipegen.

2. Description of Service

Pipegen is a two-sided marketplace that connects sales representatives with companies seeking sales talent. The platform's core differentiator is the ability for sales reps to share verified outreach performance data sourced directly from Apollo.io. Pipegen is a technology platform only — we are not a recruitment agency, staffing firm, or employment agency, and we are not a party to any employment or contractor agreement between reps and companies.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into binding contracts to use Pipegen. By registering, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements. If you are registering on behalf of a company, you represent that you have authority to bind that company to these Terms.

4. Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
• You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account
• You may not create more than one account per role, or create accounts on behalf of others without their permission

5. Apollo.io Data & Outreach Metrics

Sales reps may optionally connect their Apollo.io account to Pipegen. By doing so, you:

• Confirm that you have the right to share this data with Pipegen and with companies you choose to authorise
• Authorise Pipegen to retrieve and store your outreach data from Apollo.io via your API key
• Acknowledge that data accuracy depends on Apollo.io and may not always reflect real-time figures
• Understand that once you accept a company's invitation, that company can view your outreach snapshot data on the platform
• Retain the ability to disconnect your Apollo account and revoke company access at any time

Pipegen makes no warranty regarding the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of any outreach data displayed on the platform. Companies should perform their own due diligence.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information on your profile or job listings
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Scrape, copy, or extract data from the platform without written permission
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform or another user's account
• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users through the messaging system
• Circumvent any platform fees or payment systems once introduced
• Interfere with or disrupt the platform's infrastructure or servers

7. Jobs & Applications

Companies are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of their job postings. Pipegen does not verify job postings and is not responsible for any employment decisions made through the platform. Sales reps are solely responsible for the accuracy of their applications and profiles. Any employment or contract relationship formed through Pipegen is strictly between the rep and the company.

8. Fees & Payment

Pipegen is currently free to use. We reserve the right to introduce subscription plans or fees in the future. You will be given reasonable advance notice of any fees before they take effect, and continued use of the platform after that notice constitutes acceptance. Paid features will be processed through Stripe. All fees are in Canadian dollars (CAD) unless otherwise stated and are non-refundable except as required by applicable law.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and trademarks on Pipegen are owned by or licensed to Pipegen.io. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission. You retain ownership of content you submit (profiles, messages, reviews), but grant Pipegen a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and use that content to operate the platform.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Pipegen does not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Pipegen shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the platform. Pipegen's total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the greater of CAD $100 or the amount you paid to Pipegen in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. Pipegen reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, Pipegen, or third parties. Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately.

13. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Toronto, Ontario. You waive any objection to the jurisdiction of such courts.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
